Welcome! We created this site to be a place where folks committed to social justice could learn, share, and heal. Founded by leaders in the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta, Love and Justice is a moral call to action. It is grounded in a single principle, and that is “the inherent worth and dignity of all living things.” And while it may be a single principle, we know that it is not a simple one. Racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, fatphobia, ageism, xenophobia and the intersections thereof, threaten that dignity and attempts to determine worth. While these issues are endorsed by this current administration, activated by hate groups, and cemented in many of our American institutions, we understand that Love and Justice is a principle and practice. What we believe is defined by what we do in the face of those threats. That is why we are committed to building community through shared stories on our blog, offering resources for learning, exploration and self-care, and providing action alerts and meeting notices so you can get involved. This site and our community is still in its beginning stages. Stay tuned for more from the Love and Justice team.
